Lime Kiln Bay used to be home to a small settlement as well as a Lime Kiln Factory, in the early years my father and his family used to reside there for a short time. Although I have no family pictures of the area I have visited there many times over the years. I have taken Lime Soot from the old chimneys which have a weird look to them, these days the old Kilns have been filled and all but two are pretty much gone. The Texada Highway now pretty much runs directly through what was once the settlement so all the history of it has disappearred, however recntly I stopped in again in May of 2009 and we took these pictures, so enjoy.
